Oddly I have noticed a ton of these on VAG products recently... as to for the 500 I doubt it, Italians wouldn't consider it fashionable :)

I dont see the point of fitting something to your car that makes it look a pile of poo to stop a few stone chips ???
Paintshield is a better option surely  ;)

I don't consider it fashioable. I'd rather have the world's largest stone chip on the bonnet than drive around with something that looks like a bin bag stuck to my front end.

an appropriate term - bonnet bra. Fit one of those and you'll look a complete t1t.

I used to hate them but sort of grown to them. They do look crap on some cars. Would be a good thing to have when going on Motorway journeys

I'd say you're more likely to pick up a stone chip on am rural A or B road than a motorway  :-\

I'm not sure about these.  They just make a car that looks great look plain nasty and cheap for the benefit of the next owner not you.

mmmmm my only stone chip is from motorway.....cars travelling at speed in front flick em up......
95% of my driving is done on country roads.....never got one there........yet.....
My biggest annoyance on country roads is bugs.....bra would be good to keep them from car front. But i would have to have a paper bag for my head too  ;)
note to self.... do not attempt to contribute to any discussion on engine modification and tuning stuff, remember you know nothing about them.
