Pros and Cons of each - it's all down to personal taste in my opinion...

I've always been a 'remap guy' (originating from my Japanese car roots) but Daron's TMC box of tricks has converted me :thumb:

If you're planning on modifying your Abarth more than just the normal exhaust & induction then I'd say a proper customised remap would be best

The best thing with TMC is you could sell it on. It is a little box of magic tricks.  :thumb:

Do u need to go down the road of a exhaust and induction kit or not?
If I just remap it or the tunning box will that be ok, I don't want to go to all that

You can just remap or TMC and just leave it as it is. The second best power mod after the tmc is induction kit. The first thing I would do is suspension.  :thumb:

Both will give plenty of smiles without modifications.

If you're staying stock then TMC all the way! :thumb:

Yep, like mentioned both a tuning box and remap with standard intake and exhaust setup will/should see you floating around the 160-165bhp mark depending on if the car was a NP or SS car, as the SS map is quite a good map (so I belive).

Ive seen cars with induction kits, sports cats and cat back exhaust using remaps make just above the 170bhp mark which in a small little car isnt to be sniffed at and is a clear 10bhp onto of the SS

With the ease of installation, setup and removal for visits to dealerships the TMC does tick pretty much all the right boxes, personally, like stated, if your looking at anything past the induction and exhaust stage then maybe full remap might be best suited as a good map can be suited to the mods at that time on the car

Ones question I would like to ask, to anybody that is abit more clued up with the two maps found in the NP and SS...

When I go off to get my car mapped should I be asking for the boost to be adjusted to the SS 1.2bar? Only Im pretty sure that both Nagle's and Bill's AmD mapped cars which had the same Forge induction and Milltek turbo back system both only made 1.0bar (I think).

Now my case might be 'slightly' different as mines gona have a Forge actuator fitted to hold the boost better, but should I be asking for the slightly higher boost or just let the mapper map the car and be happy with what Im given lol

Also I pretty sure Im right but (99.999999999999999999999% sure) its only the map in the SS that brings the boost up slightly, there's def nothing else that controls the boost that differs from the NP to the SS?

What do you mean yes and no?

I would guess he means YES it can be put on a new car and NO you haven't got to run it in.

If he didn't mean that, he should have done!  :thumb:
