Hi

Recently insured my 500 using Aviva, I took out a new policy therefore no, no claims! which may counter my great age (55) The policy cost £360 included everything except breakdown and had my partner as a named driver. TMC and ITG upgrade cost an additional £30.70 (taken out within a month of the original policy) When I completed the upgrade it took a while to agree with the Aviva rep what I was actually doing, in the end we agreed on a chip upgrade as they do not have an add on box on their list.

I looked at the comparision web sites and recieved qoutes varying from £500+ Admiral and Elephant, to £1700

I have since used Avivia for both my father and mother in law and saved them both in excess of £150 each.

Good Luck

Agree with Possum, Try Aviva.  Just tell them your increasing power to esseesse level and they understand (eventually) and I think they are still doing 2months free for new customers. :thumb:

Just renewed mine with Brentacre. They specialise in modified cars. No extra charge for exhausts, air filters and suspension. The premium is based on declared power output. Any changes done in the future you just have to inform them.

Hi Jonl

FINALLY got insurance for a TMC and ITG! Trust me I've rang over a dozen companies, all the usual suspects including those performance ones in the back of Max Power magazine and the average price was coming up around £650.

Was about to give up until I read your post so gave Brentacre a try and they quoted me £519. That works out about £100 extra for the mods - can't complain - I'm now insured and Daron's fitting me in a couple of weeks  :)

The power of the forum - thanks guys!

Glad that helped, mine worked at about £110 more than my renewal quote. As I am getting suspension mods soon the flexibility of this insurance is like a breath of fresh air compared to most others!
