Ask about a low mileage service, it should be much cheaper!
I paid £161 a few weeks ago at Westover in Poole.

I had my 3K service done (on my NP) at lipscomb weekend just gone, oil & filter change & a tracking check 1 & 1/2 hours £160. It was booked it for a low mileage service but they said it couldn't be done, so I just insisted on a oil & filter change.

Wow ur getting ripped off! All you need is an oil and filter change, there's no way on this earth that you need spark plugs at 4k miles! I had a low milage service at 8-9k miles and it cost me 70quid!

more comedy 'menu pricing' from the abarth dealers - you paid more for your oil&filter change than i did for the so-called low mileage, which cost me £140. then again, there's not a lot of difference between them except words. and i know some have got oil/filter change for about £80 so could say i was ripped off with my price too. all i can say is abarth are not gonna get much repeat service business like this, and can kiss goodbye to all of us probably after warranty expiration (and me already!) gotta laugh at the grabbers though, havent you!

Just been to my local Ford garage, they seem to think it's a bit risky for them to service a car under warranty, and seemed a little confused by the fact that they can, so long as they use Abarth parts etc (i'm guessing in a small town of 3000 people they mainly do local cars!) so can somebody confirm what i would need doing on the car after 1 year and 13,000 miles please so i can explain to them what needs doing and they can then quote me a price. Ta in advance fellow Abarthistis! p.s. my car is feeling a little sluggish recently, could it be the due service?

Mr DF, I know you've had a number of issues with your 500!!! But i think i'd rather peel my eyeballs and rinse them in vinegar than go near a Ford dealership!! Wouldn't you be better off with a decent, recommended independent? If you've got anything like that near you?

Well there are only 2 garages here, Nissan and Ford. Citroen is a 50 mile round trip and Fiat is 100 mile round trip which would both mean another day off work which = big no no. So i'm a bit buggered then really, doesn't help having a service book for an Abarth PUNTO either (hence why i asked)

i think the 500 owners who have punto handbooks need to get them changed, the service schedules are not the same, i,ve compared books. not got a 500 book here to quote examples though.
