i think the 500 owners who have punto handbooks need to get them changed, the service schedules are not the same, i,ve compared books. not got a 500 book here to quote examples though.
Would be a good idea before i got it serviced i suppose. But for now, i'll just ask on here and hope someone has the knowledge at hand  Thumb Up

The only diffence between the 2 are that the 500 gets the air filter changed at the 18K which the G.P. doesn't.
The rest of the components are the same.

my reading is that your due at 18000. if you do less than 6000 in a year then you have oil and filter at i year.you don,t fall into this category so its 18000 for you.
from what i remember if you still haven,t hit 18000 in 2 years then something has to be done.

It is actually written in the service book as you described, I was looking yesterday when I booked mine in. At the end of the day if you do 10k a year it would even up the same as if you do 6k a year over the two years, you would still have one large and one small service it'd just be in a different order. 3 years becomes uneven again, but 4 rebalances depends how long you intend to keep the car.

And that obviously doesn't include the options of having it done at other gargaes or supplying your own OEM parts.

So if i go back to the Ford garage and tell them it needs oil filter, oil, air filter, pollen filter, spark plugs and for them to order genuine Abarth parts and it should take them just over 2 hours, it should be ok? Btw, it's not just any old Ford garage, some of you may remember Gwyndaf Evans, the rally driver? It's his place and he still rallies as does his son who i spoke to yesterday.

Yup, check page 13 of your warranty & service book it's in there in black n white. Just be really spot on with the spark plugs it mentions that they have have to be specific T-jet ones, I think if they point it out in the book so clearly its worth bearing in mind.

Well, lloyd looked into spark plugs for AGP and found a saving if bought on-line. Would imagine you can get some good oil cheaper too. Then i bet there is a big saving to be made on labour, from the prices we see it looks like they fly the Abarth technicians in from Italy!!!
