Not being sarky, just wanted to check. I'm not mechanically minded so dont know what is best etc, I do just about manage to do IT for a living. Thank you for the clarification though.

That sounds all too familiar It's all in the service book the only thing that confuses me is technically if you do over 6k miles in a year but it isn't mainly town driving you should be able to just get away with just a pollen filter change. However I'm a bit old fashioned and don't like running oil for that long.

Can someone please advise on the oil I need for a 6k service on a standard A500?
How much, what grade is required and does it have to be Selenia for the warranty?
Thanks
Keith

For the Non-SS it is Selenia K 10W-40. However any similar quality oil will be fine for the warranty, Shell for example will be fine. On the infamous page 13 it does have something noted along the lines of 'or similar quality'

My NP (& states for 135Bhp) manual says oil should be Selenia 10w50, and 'me dealer' Lipsomb only had 10w50 for Abarth 500 NP or SS.

Its a funny story, but the 10-50 is for the SS and is the only Abarth branded oil that will show up on the parts screen, the 10-40 for the NP is just a 'generic' Selenia oil 'Energy K' or something like that I'd double check my service invoice but I don't have my car today.

I had a look through the book and it seems to indicate 3 litres of oil ..... my 300C needs 10 litres so I just wondered if 3 is correct?

Thanks John ... I'll just get 5 litres and pass it on to my local garage.
I had to chuckle when reading the service booklet ..... "a service network across the nation"
Fine if you don't count the other 90% of Scotland's area not covered by Glasgow or Edinburgh!

To save a multitude of threads on the same thing I've lumped this in here as most of the details are lurking in this thread but as a quick recap: Any correctly weighted oil will do you (10w50) Shell, Mobile etc all do it. Any decent motor factors should be able to track a filter down for you. Oh and this maybe the next question if you're DIYing it
