I'm just worried about parts/labour cost anyway, i should have had it done when she was in Mancs! To go back again would be another day off work, and petrol money. We'll see...

just spoke to lipscomb bout booking my 500 esseesse in for service car has covered less than 4000 miles , was quoted £380.00 for oil / filter pollen filter and spark plugs / y the plugs seems an awfully lot of money to me what do you lot think Hi - coming up for my annual service on my A500 - read a bit of this thread, just wanted to question what the concencus cost was. I pre-paid at Glynn Hopkin, car has covered just over 5000 miles. Any idea what they should be hitting me for?

If you pre-paid surely it will be nothing Well - it comes out of the credit I have built up from the monthly direct debit payments.

If it is pre pay, I would expect not to pay anything extra. Even if the work costs more than the credit the garage should swallow any extra or it sounds like it has been mis-sold as they have calculated what the DD should be incorrectly.

If you read the additional clauses at the bottom of the service items pages in addition it basically says if you do less than 6k in a 12 month period or use it in heavy conditions (mainly city driving is listed as one) then you need to have the oil and filter changed, it also states that the pollen filter should be changed every 12 months regardless.
Its not really a 4k service, its the yearly 'low milage' one, oil filter, gerneral visual check and pollen filter. I had mine on Tuesday although I was at 8k.
