5W40 is the oil the garage put in. I put the tin in the boot and didn't look at it till later /was in a hurry/.

If I were you, I would do so.
Not that I believe that that oil would be worse, but if you ever have any warranty issues, this might become a problem.

Dealer will tell you what they think, if you are worried about warranties get them to put it in writing and they will be liable to pay out I think :thumb:

As you have the power output similar to a SS. I would go for 10w50. But I don't think you could blame the dealer unless you advised him accordingly.

Im sure its supposed to be 5W 40 for standard form,  however 10w 50 wont do any harm esp if you have a TMC box.

As I phoned them to book the oil change I asked them to make sure they have the 10W50 and before I handed the keys I also made sure the oil in stock. I will phone them tomorrow.

Yordan, would this happen to be a certain Abarth dealer not too far from us?

If so I'm not surprised...  They put the wrong grade oil into Carmen and then spent 4 days trying to wiggle out of changing it :thumbd:
