Got my letter today and got it booked in next week as i am off work. They are also giving the car a free safety check brakes. lights etc.

"free safety check" = looking for things that might look worn out, tyres etc  :whistle:

Was at Thames today for a couple of niggles to be resolved (which they seem to have been - well done Thames) and I asked about this... mine was done on the 4th Aug - the day after the car arrived in the UK and well prior to my 1st Sept collection

A500SS BN White, red mirrors and side stripe, auto air, dipping rear view mirror, parking sensors, White SS alloys, Koni FSD Upgrade,.... Small but Wicked (Oh yeah and it is a Fiat - chance what anybody about says... and I love it all the more for that)

I've just been on the phone to Abarth trying to persuade them to let me have it done at a Fiat dealer, but they didn't seem too keen.  I've got to wait for an 'executive' to call me back.  Judging by the last time I rung to complain that my 4 month car was rusty and several features don't work.....I'll not be holding my breath.  If anyone has any luck getting them to agree to a Fiat dealer, please let me know.

The Official word from Abarth is that your car must return to an Abarth dealer to have the update done.

My wife has received the same letter for her F500 it states a number of F500,Grande Punto Sound and Punto Evo models are included in the recall big numbers involved then told by dealer only takes half an hour tho.  :thumbd: :thumbd:

Thanks.  I guess I'll just take my chances and ignore it then - hopefully I won't crash, but I definitely would loose a days pay whilst I took it in.

I don't think my car is included, as I haven't received a letter. However I will still have a quick look at my chassis number, just in case.
