A500 STONE CHIP IN GLASS !!! :-(

I was going to get my VPOWER today! Finally.. And on the way a farty little mini decided to scoop up a stone and launch it at my windscreen! :( the chip is just below the wiper blades, on the black glass part, any opinions on getting it fixed?

Get it fixed straight away and it'll be fine.

Your insurance policy probably covers it without much expense.  :thumb:

 I got one on my 2nd day of ownership   :thumbd:..Got it repaired free at autoglass and i can still see it ..its the cars birthmark i suppose  ;D

They should just fill it with gel unless it's right at the edge, you'll still see it but it won't crack any further

I had a very small stone chip on mine and i was devestated.

Personaly i would leave it,i went to autoglass andthey showed me what the repair can come out like.The chap himself said "its not designed to look preety".So i thought i would rather have the tiny chip rather than a blob.just my 2p worth.

Correct but autoglass said my small chips wont get any worse so i guess it depends onthe severity of the chip:) .

Not sure what the repairs look like these days, but I had one done years ago and it looked horrid :thumbd:

When the windscreen got chipped on my last car I decided to leave it, wait for it to crack and just pay the excess for a new screen....but in 3 years it never got any worse :thumb:

thats a pain mate, same happened to mine, autoglass fixed it free....... it only looks bad when i look at it just above wiper in middle.......... so i try not to look at it too much ! ... if it gets worse then they will supply/fit new screen

Seriously?! The Autoglass advert makes it look like it disappears!

If it makes the OP feel any better, I have had quite a nasty stone chip on my windscreen for roughly 18 months and it hasn't cracked yet (I am touching wood as I type this  :D)
