Abarth 500 at Oulton Park

Due to unforeseen events this morning I ended up doing half a day track day at Oulton park in the Abarth500.

It was absolutely awesome!!!  Really good, better than I expected, did my fair share of overtaking and really enjoyed the car.

Also learnt a lot about the various systems on the car in the relative safety of the track.

Got lots of people commenting on the car when it was in the garage, loads of people liked it (they would its Grey with red leather, and the stripe!)

Also met a fellow Abarthisti carn't remember his name(long day sorry!) he had a Grey a500 and black leather.

Awesome track and the Abarth is no slouch round there. Glad you enjoyed itv  :thumb:

It might have been Jason (esper500) that you met - he's down there quite often.

I fancy doing a track day at Oulton...

It was me  :) You certainly looked quick out there...that scooby kept slowing you down! Another surprising thing happened today as well...seeing you drive round has convinced my wife that maybe a track day isn't such a bad idea after all...I owe you a drink!

Cool, sorry I forgot who you were I was a little nevous about driving the misses daily drive round Oulton!!

Yeah that scooby kept slowing me down, he just didmt want to let the little car past!

Then when I got past he was a speck in my mirror in seconds!!! ;)

Glad I have helped convince you wife that a track day is a good thing. I think the car enjoyed it as much as me!

You will have to let me know, and we could do a half day together(I feel pretty shattered today)

Here are some interesting track day stats from the trip computer yesterday! 

78 miles driven, 1.5 hours on track, 14.5 mpg.

I brimmed the car just before the track day and had well less than half a tank at the end! :thumb:

Hey, no worries...theres always something going on for most of the year...plenty of time  :thumb:

Caz360 - Would be up for a trackday for sure. Would be first time on track for us and Saturday looked pretty much perfect...drying track and not too much traffic...we will look out for another novice one and let you know! I'm at Oulton most weekends (family tradition!) from now on so come find us if you are ever there.
