« on: January 05, 2011, 12:47:32 PM »
Hi Everyone

I am bit new to this website and am struggling to get about at the minute.

I have a 500 Abarth 135 bhp, Possidon Grey, with the petal alloys.

Can anyone help me with i am due my insurance renewal and the money it is coming out with is astronomical.

Can any one suggest where to try to get insurance from at a decent price?

Thanks in advance

Admiral were good for me this year. £600.  Some people have reported as low as £280 I think but all depends on age and location etc.

One thing I did learn though, is if your planning on adding mods on.  Add them now when you renew and then it will save you the £17.50 admin fee each time you add a new one on during the year.

If you dont plan any then easy job :)

Recommend you start with the moneysavingexpert tactic and check all the comparison sites and a few others that don't appear on the aggregators.

If you're going to add extras be careful 'cos they'll bump up the price with many insurers.

When you're old, fat and balding like me the premium drops to sub£300

45 here and £230 for the Abarth.

I do however have 4 other cars as well which reduces the premium on the Abarth.

I am 38.  Mine is currently costing £350 for me and the wife.  She is a few years younger than me but both of us have clean licences.  But this could be a little more than usual as we switched the insurance from a Stilo Abarth to the Abarth 500 SS less than a month into the policy.  It was £290 for the Stilo and I had to pay an extra £60 to switch.  This is with Admiral.

Try Brentacre.

I was about to sell my A500 NP out of principle until someone on here told me about these guys. I'm 36, clean lisense and one accident three years ago and paying £560 with a TMC box and ITG air filter. Bargain  :)

Assume you are on Admiral Multi-car

We saved a TON of money doing it and dead easy to do if you have the illness and change cars a lot have many different renewal dates etc........

(not an agent) but need to "name-and-fame" when it is due
