Abarth SS Alloy
« on: January 28, 2012, 01:28:25 PM »
Last week i was driving home in the fog and hit an large pot hole on a duel carriage way. I was hoping it was the tracking which was knocked out however i went to a tyre place today and when they span it on the machine it was all over the shot.

Really frustrating, sometimes i wonder why we pay road-tax with the state of some of the tarmac out there  ???

Gutted for you but Road tax is not for road fixing! Council tax is for fixing the roads... Take a picture of pot hole and wheel send to council & Take to court if needed they will have to pay for it all... Just do not ring up the council telling them about the hole before you get a picutre or it will be fixed in 30mins...

some roads dont deserve to be called roads ....... maybe ok if horse and carts came back then so be it, but we pay s**tloads of road tax and we deserve better service for our money. thats all !

I had an alloy replaced courtesy of Coventry Council too.  No quibble, couple of pictures and a form and boom cheque for a replacement.  :thumb:

I wish you the best of luck! Did, perchance, the pothole have a white ring painted around it, which would indicate the local council is aware of that particular hole, and which will help you immeasurably :thumb:
