Hopefully Bauer Millett will get it running ok. They seem a great company. Gonna talk to them tomorrow.

I have just gone out to the garage to have a listen and look under the bonnet and it all seems fine to me. No engine management light showing. It's just when accelerating hard it seems to do it.

One other thing I can hear is a ever so slight high pitch sort of sound, barely noticeable but in a quite garage I could hear it, what is this?

I had a whine/whistle on acceleration and it turned out to be a loose spark plug.

I take it the car is in sport mode?

yeh car is in sport mode.

one other thing i need to mention is that i think something is stuck in the air vents as when fans are on 1 there is a crickets sound, when turning it to 0 is slows down and stops, then comes back when pop the fans back to 1

This is a known fault. Mention it to BM when you go.

Engine light is one for the dealer.

One of several interesting threads about TTC.
I have it on all the time except in the ice/snow when it might simply let you go a bit faster just before letting go catastrophically.

One of several dull threads about noisy fans.
I think it's just with climate, not normal a/c.

A snippet from Joe about his cracked manifold/airbox nightmare
If you only took the red cover off to replace the filter, you shouldn't have done any harm.  If you removed the airbox body, there's a weak bit where the box pegs locate on the manifold that snaps easily causing misery all round.

Mine was having issues with loud hissing coming from the under the bonnet and wouldn't boost higher than 0.8.  Felt really sluggish when pushed but drove fine while not really boosting.  Turned out one of those nasty little Italian jubilee clips had rusted on the nearside intercooler and sprung open.  Dropped off at Corkills and sorted within a couple of days.  Couldn't fault them.  No dash warnings showing at all though.

well Bauer Millett seem to have fixed the engine issue, no more flat spots from what i can tell, drives smoother and no flashing light.

It was an air leak from some pipe at the back, would have needed to have it pointed out to me to give exactly what it was but if i get the chance i will ask.

Great service as it was picked up and even given a wash for me which was nice.

Now i just need the air vents high pitch loose fan bearings thing sound fixing as very annoying as once the car is warm inside or cool when the weather gets warmer i tend to leave my fans on setting 1 just so there is a contant flow of air and this is when it is worse. I read the thread about it even though it seems to be for climate control and sounds like the same problem, i printed the thread out and handed it to the guy who dealy with me as it really does sound like a loos fan or as stated the bearings. They said they checked all the fans/vents etc but couldnt see anything?

but i am happy that i can now enjoy the car

Good-o.  :thumb:

Made your mind up about TTC?

The sound of the fuel pump is what you notice after switching off the engine for a second or two.  I guess your whine was from the leaky pipe.
