That's pretty good, how many miles have you done so far?

850ish can't remeber the exact figure, will go up rapidly again this weekend.

32.7 so far for the SS.

That's pretty good, you must have been very light with your right foot for that  Wink

I wonder who's done the most miles in the A500? Approaching 1900 now, MPG for the total miles has gone up slightly to 31.3, but i would have to average 40 MPG for 3 or 4 tankfuls to get Trip B up to mid 30's i reckon. Still, 40 MPG works out at 10p per mile which is pretty cheap if you ask me!

Most miles would likely be euroboy, and possibly simer of the UK cars as iirc he got his first.

tripA is giving me 35.8mpg,the embarrassing thing is average speed, 33mph, might as well have gone for a 1.2pop  Embarrassed

Just got back from a spin, trip A is now on 206 miles, still got a quarter of a tank left, but the MPG has dropped to 36 MPG thanks to a good thrashing (oh and two races with a Rover, not sure which type, won both of course)

Sadly my very boring trip to work which is all congested 30mph (if I'm lucky and it's a school holiday) town roads. But this is why I decided the 500 would make such a good car for me over something bigger and more powerful.

I originally saw about 38mpg up until I had a chance to test the car thoroughly at which point the mpg dropped to less than half that (18mpg) so I reset trip A at that point and it has settled at 31.9mpg occasionally dropping to 31.6 (anyone else noticed it seems to move in .3's?) Can't remember what trip B says but it is still substantially lower even after 2500 miles.

Under testing it went through just short of two tanks fills in 160 miles...

I haven't tried the SS yet so I can't comment... would like to remedy that situation though

the brakes are no larger than the standard ones... they are just drilled which = less fade when your hammering it (suposiable) ....

therefore if you havnt been hammering the car they wont stop you any quicker or slower than standard brakes (which are fantastic anyway)

if you want to stop quicker, its the pads that you want to change...

"suposiable" Huh?

I think you'll find that the SS kit does include high performance pads. Roll Eyes

Intresting to know... so the SS MPG return isn't much different at all from the std A500. Think i could live with these sort of figures - should get better when the cars are run in.

how many miles do you get out of a tank? and/or how much is a full tank. Usually drive till the red light comes on the fill her up to max, hate going to petrol station every other day to put a tenner in

That's one of the only faults i can find with the 500 Abarth, the tiny fuel tank! Warning light comes on at 5 litres and the tank is only 35 litres (approx) so from warning light to fill up, it costs around £28 to £32 to fill depending on prices of fuel of course. Expect to get somewhere between 170 and 230 miles from a tank. Sometimes less, sometimes more, depends how you drive! I put £20 in yesterday, gave me 3 quarters of a tank, down to just under half now...total spent so far since 9th of March = £340 approx
