Having only just bought mine, I'm still lead footed don't even want to think what the mpg is.

I really don't know how you people get more than 25mpg.  On the motorway I can only get 34 doing the speed limit.

I'm averaging 28mpg with a slipping clutch... That means I short shift like crazy cus it slips at 3-4k, and I accelerate reaaaaaal gentle, so I also dont know how people get more than that unless its all motorway and dead on the speedlimits :P

I don't understand how anyone can't get over 40mpg out of a 1.4 when not hooning around, perhaps they don't realize there are more gears in the box :D or of course that the throttle pedal has travel its not digital  ;) :) Maybe you just have a lot of traffic?

for my Punto, 40+ when I want it  8) , averaging about 36 driven normally  :D , single digit on track  ;D

The lighter 500 should do similar/better.

i can get over 40mpg, i did 4,000 touring Italy and achieved 41.2mpg fully loaded.
i live in London, so yes it congested and alot of 1st/2nd gear driving so that probably explains it.
but purchasing a abarth isnt about MPG figures, its about having fun and hearing that exhaust note :thumb:

My punto has only got 6 forward gears   :thumbd:  ;D I did manage 36mpg once when I was driving stupidly slow and changing up gears as soon as I could for over a week everywhere but it was so boring  :thumbd:

Filled up as normal on Monday and for the first time I got over 60 miles (62 to be precise) before the first light on the gauge went off.  Hadn't been driving any differently and didn't fill it any more than usual, so I reckon the car is still becoming more economical.
I'm guessing that loads of Abarthisti have had this happen, but it's a first for me.
Got to 97 miles before the second light went off and it's usually 95 (very consistent).
TMC is currently on 6.

I haven't got more than 33 out of mine so far, ive stopped putting the instant FC on the dash, it defeats the object of owning an Abarth!

It's empty when its empty...

I used to look at that in the early days of ownership.  It's interesting for about 15 minutes !
