Brake Sqeak on rears

I took the car back to the dealers 3 times now about rear brake squeak, started at 4,000 miles, I thought it might bed in? No luck and I feel it is because the dealers can't get money back on warranty for brakes, so they don't want to know.

The missus had a 500 sport before the Abarth and had no end of trouble with the back brakes.
Several sets of new pads, disks and eventually wheel bearings (hubs) because the constant overheating had knackered the bearings. They also changed the rear caliper hangers as well.
We sold the bloody thing 'cos we were sick of the problems ! Every service visit was in fact 3 - 1 to examine (no parts in stock), 1 to fit new parts (hadn't arrived) and the 3rd one to do the job. I think I made about 15 or 20 visits to the dealer in the end !
So its not just an abarth problem but also a Fiat one, They have designed a sliding brake caliper assembly that does not slide.
Quite why they haven't sorted it out is beyond me its not rocket science.
Good luck getting yours fixed !

You would think in this day and age cars would be spot on, it's not like a new invention, my old 1974 Stag has less problems!

If the old one was better on fuel I'd dump the fiat just like that, I tell you! I might try and get it modified to run as a hybed some how, then bye bye modern cars!
