Yep, I've noticed this with my Tom Tom. Everytime I hit a slight bump in the road, the charger pops out - very annoying.

It seems to be an issue with most Fiats as well. I bought a torch for the wife that came with a little collar that fitted into the cigar lighter socket: -

She did not need the adapter for her Honda but it was perfect for use in the old Stilo to make the socket a bit smaller.  I could not get it back out again and the cigarette lighter would not fit back in.

I just jam a small piece of wood in with it now, so silly, why can't they be standard ?

Why not just prise out the metal tag on the plug a bit so its a tighter fit?

note to self.... do not attempt to contribute to any discussion on engine modification and tuning stuff, remember you know nothing about them.

Mine's the right size. TomTom and phone charger cables are very snug. Odd...

It is ok, not tight but the TomTom stayed connected.

The same could not be said from the thing hanging off the windscreen through  ???

I can't move the metal clips out any more, it still pops out, will just get the torch and smaller adaptor that comes with it.

I'm on my fourth Grande Punto now and I have changed every one for a Volvo 12v Socket due to the Fiat one being to loose and plugs coming out. However the plug on the fix and go kit fits purfect but I've got one in the boot for that  :thumb:
