10W-50 Ester Synthetic Engine Oil
Is that the correct oil for the A500SS?
according to the extra "500 Abarth Preparation kit" booklet that came with the car owners manual etc. It says SAE 10W50 synthetic lube is needed.
searching the forum backs this up (I think). Standard Abarth use 5W40.

From memory, I thought it was the other way round ???

id do it myself if your happy to wave goodbye to the warranty, id hope that my abarth could last 5-6 years with no major problems but if something goes wrong i can't be arsed to argue and seeing as we have 3 years warranty id stick with ABARTH doing it for a couple of services, like most say get a oil filter change only and a stamp keep them happy

after 3 years DIY starts  :thumb: ive got oil waiting for my 3rd service  ;D

My SS is approaching its first 6000 mile oil change. As all that is required is an oil change with no service inspections etc will DIYing it void the warranty?

Opie will be supplying the correct quality oil (10w50 for an SS I gather) & filter so I can keep receipts as proof. I am qualified to maintain aircraft but have no certificates to change my car oil.

I have chosen Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 10W-50 Ester Synthetic Engine Oil as both Fuchs Opie served me well in my RX8.

What think you?
