ESP and Hill Hold Failure Warning
« on: October 18, 2010, 03:36:39 PM »
Hi Folks

Just had the above flash up whilst on the road.  Usual tactic of turning it off and turning it on again hasn't done the job :( Disconnect battery perhaps?

I have the TMC box fitted but I presume that wouldn't cause the problem as I presume it's electrical.  I'm in France (the car is with me) just now so no chance of getting it to a dealer until I get home next week.  Do you think they will be difficult if the TMC is still on the car when I take it in, presuming the problem hasn't sorted itself by then.

Cheers

Jon

Thanks for the replies folks.  Just to clarify, does this mean the ESP is now out or has the dashboard just thrown a wobbly due to the brake light switch.  Switch needs replaced I take?

Cheers

its usully the switch falling out of the holder in the pedal box.
I think the newer switches are a slightly better quality :thumb:
