the word "service" is the key. you didn't want one, just an oil and filter change and nothing else :thumb:

Exactly. I asked for an oil and filter change and it cost me about £90 from memory. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A LOW MIELAGE SERVICE.

I got my 9k service at Lipscomb at the end of November - Fantastic service and at £99 all in. Just got them to price match other garages. They were quoting more before hand around £119.15, but Romford were offering £99 so they matched it.

Romford kept telling me i needed my big service, but after proving them wrong all was fine.

honestly couldnt say matey, I just got them to price match. You wont get discounted now for existing labour, see if they can throw in a can or two of oil and just shop around next time... Although going from your Sig, you must be having to spend a small fortune on servicing anyways! Gave up with BMW and my e36 M!

I'll check my receipt after work and let you know if it said service or oil/filter change.

Thanks for that.

BMW is actually cheaper to service than the Abarth as it only needs a service every two years. During the first two years of the M, it only costs just under £200 (oil and brake fluid service) which I already have spent in the first year on the Abarth.

I can confirm that.
Same car here, cheaper to run (even fuel ??? ) than the Abarth.

Nice car that Z4M PVR, good choice :thumb:

Fuel costs may be determined by driving style.... ;)

Honestly though, these cars are not cheap to run. End of debate. That said, to me, worth the money.  :thumb:

Agreed. But I would still pay the £99 that others have paid for their service than the bill I got  ;D

Here you go matey, Mine says 'Oil and Filter change' unlike your 'low mileage service' (does that even exist???)

However notice mine had motorsport oil instead of Selenia (no idea why - nor do i know why they used the wrong weight!! I was too busy looking at the red elise to question/spot it...)

Hope this is of some help - at the end of the day its all about shopping around, even though it should surely be a fixed cost. Romford is my local, but i don't like them, nor the drive into it - so i went double the distance to lips comb

Went back today for that recall, spoke to them about the costs and they insisted it was set by Abarth / Fiat centrally and they could not do anything about it, all dealers would charge the same.

They could only change the type of service if you requested it, i.e. oil change only rather than the recommended service.

more key words, "type of service". "reccomended" whats recommended is not necessarily what is required, you have to be clear about what you want. if you read the book you could request what you need, if you ask what they reccomend its a different answer :thumb:

My first service was done at Lipscombe almost 2 years ago now and they used that same oil in my AGP as they have on your service. I got back and thought same thing.
AGP scorpian black, custom quad exhaust, carbon fibre wrapped bonnet, spoiler and centre console, forge intercooler, induction kit, boost hoses,TMC tuned, eibach sportlines.
