How do you switch it of please I've had a go but just says normal/ sport or sport flashing no option seems to be there to switch it off

Depends on how old the car is, if it is pre-August-ish last year (I think that's the cut off we worked out) there isn't an option to turn it off, later ones have in the menu accessable through the binnacle buttons.

If you are asking how to turn it off all together, you can't disable the sport change up flashing, only the normal mode economy indicator.

Thanks Chris mine has the option in the binnacle buttons but it seems no option to switch it off

Unluckily I do have the older car but I would suspect the normal/sport means you get the GSI for flashing for 'please change gear up for economy' in normal mode and 'please stop over reving the engine and change gear as you've run out of the power band' in Sport mode.

The other option should just leave the 'please stop over revving the engine and change gear as you've run out of the power band' light in sport mode but shouldn't nag in normal mode. There is no option on any A500 as far as I know that disbles it entirely.


(disclaimer - other than the A500c obviously as that is an auto and does't have the flashing GSI afaik)
