I'm with matpat on this one too, it looks like there have been monumental f ups by who? i'm not really sure, would love a tributo 695, but if it caused this much grief, golf r, audi rs3, cooper jcw would now have test drives booked!

What a mad situation, no one paying this kind of money for a car should be cocked around like you have been. What a real shame. Think I would of bought something else by now. I hope you get the car soon,after all, it's not the poor cars fault,it just wants to be driven!!

The amount of money being paid for the car is irrelevant. When buying any car I wouldn't expect to be treated like this, full stop.

The DVLA have had the paperwork for so long they have become attached to the car and want to see it.  ;)

Hope this does sort itself out soon.  I would also be very annoyed by now and I am usually very placid - my wife is the one that 'gets things done' in our relationship as she cannot usually wait until I am p***ed off enough to do something myself.
