Mini's are so common up here in Aberdeen, especially Cooper S's. No doubt good cars, but personally think they are overrated. Only one I'd consider is the John Cooper Works, but then I did chose an Abarth 500 SS for a reason

Only one I'd consider is the John Cooper Works, but then I did chose an Abarth 500 SS for a reason Saw a previous model Cooper S GP the other day, the one with no rear seats. I was in the Alfa but couldn't keep up, that's a quick motor. When do you get your car Mouse? Need to brace myself for the possibility of seeing another A500 on the road. That'll be something like 4 A500s within 50 miles. Still only seen one other one on the road. Anyone have a fool-proof way of persuading the other half I need to SS the car?

Your right Alison. I had a cooper S and It actually felt, WAS much faster than the stats say. It was easily faster than my previous VXR, and that was the arctic edition! Though I much add, nothing Ive had is as cool as the little Abarth!

I would have gone for a JCW if I had an extra 10K available. The 500A isn't going to be as quick as the likes of the mini. In buying my 500A I will unfortunatley have to take the wooden spoon. However, we Abarthstis have a rare thing.....it's called tatse Saw a previous model Cooper S GP the other day, that's a quick motor.
Agreed Glad to hear you had fun shocking someone Alberto I think as there's so few of us about, other people think they'll leave you in their dust.......(just cos I said I get the wooden spoon, doesn't mean I don't try avoiding it )

I annoyed the driver of a Civic Type R today. That was fun A Cooper S is much quicker than a NP 500. He must not have been expecting it...

10th April is the latest date I've been told. Can't wait now. My girlfriend doesn't like it. Will have to work on her, as in 3 / 4 years when I get another car I need to find a way of keeping the Abarth by giving it to her

i can see how you can race another car on the road without 1st stopping and having a conversation about fancying a RACE you blast around the only guys that seem to be arsed racing are the unmarked police cars ST's and Scoobies, VRS etc then again living in a city surrounds doesn't help with space to blast about if you get caught out in the Abarth eg low boost or lag you stuffed must be the same for other cars if your not expecting a Abarth racer then its not a race test time we need a cooper and abarth on track asap
