Leather Gaiter

How easy or difficult would it be to change the leather Gaiter around the gear stick? Has anyone done this?
I've seen some on eBay from Italy that I have taken a fancy to so I suppose it can be changed

I changed mine from the standard black to red (to suit the red leather in mine) you have to prize out badge in centre of gearstick,ne carefull not to mark as only plastic undo bolt in middle.
The gaiter then just pulls out from the consol -it`s held in place with plastic clips on the chrome surround,remove the whole lot..then you have to cut of the cable tie YES a cable tie which holds the gaiter on at the top of the gearstick...and fit new one and do in reverse...actually sounds `iffy` but easy to do.
I really like our red one,well worth the 15 mins to do

i  have leather......with the cold weather i found the alloy one far to cold ( had one on my coupe 20Vt)
