Leather or cloth
« on: January 27, 2012, 07:50:58 PM »
I am about to order a new A500 but is it worth paying the £800 for leather seats, will a car be worth more later please help me to decide.
Or is the cloth ok.

This, Sabelts are awesome. I'd go cloth over leather in either normal seats or Sabelts but that's just personal preference. Never been a fan of leather seats.

Leather smells nice, in red they are noticeable and slippy. Cold in winter. Colth not as sticky in summer.

My leather was a bit of a fluke but I have no complaints, it's not too cold and looks great, I was originally happy with the cloth ones though, it's all down to your own preference

I've never regretted finding the extra for leather. Have a look at both and see what you like.

However, do not buy sabelts without trying a car with them in for a reasonable distance. Lots of members love them, but I found them bum numbingly awful and cut a test drive if an esseesse short after only about 45 minutes as I was in so much pain.

I wholeheartedly agree with you for standard seats. They are totally lacking in lateral support so cloth helps. I've driven both now over fairly long distance.  :thumb:

Sabelts are brilliant but you need to be a slim build to fit. Comfortable, supportive and ultimately makes the little car far less tiring than various other things I drive from time to time over long distance.

Leather of course. What a question. Like asking Spam or fillet? No-one has Spam unless you are claiming off the state.
