Monza Exhaust
« on: May 23, 2010, 02:18:10 PM »
Ok all here's a question for you.

Whilst having my car serviced yesterday I was taking a look at the Monza Exhaust System, they had a demo car with the system fitted so the service manager took me out for a spin. I've got to say I am really impressed with both the look and sound of it, I've checked videos of it but it's nothing like hearing it in the flesh I must say.
Anyway has anybody had this fitted to their car, if so how much did it cost and where did you get it fitted as I'm very intersted in the system now.

Can anybody shed any light on this for me  :thumb:

Thanks

Available from all Abarth dealers.  Price last I heard was £759+VAT.

Pre-launch discussion here: http://www.abarthforum.co.uk/general-abarth/abarth-variable-back-pressure-exhaust-system/

Official launch details here: http://www.abarthforum.co.uk/general-abarth/abarth-magneti-marelli-record-monza-exhaust-systems/

There are several people here who've had it fitted, I'm sure they'll be along in a bit.

Id be interested to hear of anyone that went for one of these but has had it removed to either go to a full aftermarket system or back to factory standard and if so why

I've got to say this really quietly to myself so I'll type it in small font below! Anyhow, I could not resist it. To me it finishes off the car nicely and, so far, those who have heard it wholeheatedly approve too. The whole car makes me smile but that noise is unreal. Do it, you know you want to! Just be warned that some insurance companies did not seem to like it.

I paid £885 fitted

Sounds great....had it fitted approx a month after buying the car.  Paid around £850 or less, wouldnt go back to original exhaust.  Worth the extra. :D

I had mine fitted within hours of it being driven off the transporter  8) Yes the standard exhaust has a nice burbble  :) but the Monza sounds like the god of thunder hitting his thumb with a hammer  ;D cost me £840.... didnt pay for fitting  ;) everyone who hears it comments on how good its sounds most of my m8s dont believe its only a 1.4  8)

Love the sound, hate the looks. If only they made more of an effort with the exit pipes, i would buy one without hesitation.

Me too, if it had two big round exit pipes instead of 4 tiny ones i would have one on my car..

I admit - it sounds fantastic, but I'd prefer 2 big pipes, and I'd prefer them in stainless steel...

Anyone else noticed the two pipes on the left rear are not quite aligned? You have to stand right over the pipes to see it.  I thought it was a fault on mine but the dealers demo was the same.  Most weird....
