Getting my oil changed this week.. do i stick with the Abarth oil i have at present or revert back to oe spec selenia? bearing in mind last change before winter, likely to be doing mainly shortish trips, and no more fun track days till spring?

Yeah use the genuine stuff Selenia Abarth 10w50, it comes in a nice silver tin that you can save it in for topping up.

I bought the Abarth branded Selenia for an early oil change for NP500 and was sold the 10/50 (for SS) rather than 5/40 as specced. When I spoke to Research, they said I should regard it as an "upgrade". I don't think they noticed the pun.

I've changed the oil at 5000km and at 10000km, and both times the oil seemed much degradated: I recommend to change the oil at shorter intervals.

I just went for the 5/40 Selenia oil. Doesn't seem to make sense to me to get the 10/50 unless you have esse esse.
