We picked our new Abarth 500 up on Monday afternoon

and on Tuesday night my wife had to call the AA out to help her

. It seems here clutch peddle had pretty much stopped working and was stuck nearly to the bottom of the footwell

. She was unable to change gears and was forced to call out the emergency breakdown. When the AA arrived which i must say it only took them 5 mins

, he checked all the linkages and they were all fine and lubricated/ greased up, then he checked for leaks and there was no apparent leak and all the fluid was accounted for. So finally he lifted the clutch peddle up and pumped it back to pressure and all is working again

. We have been recommended by the AA to take it back to the garage SG Petch york to have them check it over. Having studied some of the threads on the forum i can see that this is not a uncommon problem with the 500 and it seems that a master cylinder could be at fault

. It just doesn't put us in good faith with the brand after just 88 miles on the clock that we have a problem like this and probably need some parts changing already. What are your views guys?
