Rear number plate light holder.
« on: January 27, 2011, 11:56:13 PM »
Hello

I'm wondering how much or where i can get the rear chrome piece that holds the number plate lights in and has 500 stamped in it. The reason is i'm looking at painting it in bnw to match the spoiler above but if not keen when painted i can swap back if its not to pricey.

Any help gratefully recievied  :thumb:

Cheers

Justin

Unsure on price but I think it is the same part on a Fiat or Abarth so either Parts Department should be able to help!  :thumb:

You might be able to get one from a scrap yard. Have a ring round.

Cheers for the replies!

I think i will have it done in spring if i can wait that long.

To be honest as long as it wasn,t going to be silly money for a new one I was hoping less than a 1er close though.

What do you think about filling the 500 on it as well?.

Thanks again!

Should be easy to do and look pretty good in my opinion but im not a fan of chrome parts on cars as it is tbh. take a picture from the back and try editing it white before you spend money on it.

Mmm not to computer literate Stevey last time i had a go I got it on to paint and made a right mess looked like a 2 yr old colouring in!!

I dont mind a bit of chrome its just a little to much on the rear.and I think it would match well with the rear hatch spoiler. I love the door handles as retro, if i had deeper pockets I,d like to loose the front bumper chrome wings either side of the abarth badge but as all joined and receesed into the bumper I think it would be a bit much for now.

Cheers

Yes, it looks good in white.

Indeed I will be attending the Midlands meet; so it would be a pleasure to meet you and the others in civilised surroundings.

It's just over a week away, hurry up next week!!
