Well it is the 1st of June and this information is now in the public domain so here are the 'Italian' prices to give you a good indication for the UK.

The current A500 €18.800,00
                A500C €21.000,00

So €2.200,00 more for an A500C (this pretty much reflects the £2,000 premium of 500C's over equivalent 500's)

Also i know this is the 500 section but the Abarth Punto Evo lists at €19.400,00 i belive the GPA listed at €18.100,00 so €1.300,00 extra for MultiAir + other goodies.

Oh sorry just to add all of the press images photo's and the show car were the 'Bicolore' which has a higher list price.
A500C BICOLORE €22.700,00

So that brings the price €3.900,00 above the tin top.

About the only option is Climate control (140)

The Bicoloure's 22,700 Euros price is for the Italian market and that includes VAT (20% there)

So I reckon the UK prices will be roughly the same. It is interesting to note that climate control costs more in Italy than in the UK so all is up in the air.

Yes generally Imposta sul Valore Aggiunto (IVA) is 20% a few exceptions but anyway George Osburne will be standing up on 22nd June to announce that our Value Added Tax rate will become aligned anyway to a likewise 20% so watchout for that.

Here's the scoop, direct from Turin: Abarth 500C will come with automated manual 'flappy paddle' gearbox, xenon headlights and rear parking sensors as standard.

Price set to be £17,500.

More details to follow later.

There's a PDF brochure to download from the Italian site (warning: it's 28MB):-

Jesus why i am so attracted to this? On paper it sounds silly, but just look at it! The camp. grey one is stunning! I see it's slightly slower to 60 and slightly lower emissions, is this the MA engine? Is the 6 speed flappy standard?

The tan leather is very nice, good to see it's in the back aswell.

So, is this gearbox the same as in the Tributo Ferrari (i.e does it have a higher torque rating than the standard Abarth 500 gearbox?)

Its not the mulit air, they have just upped the power by 5 bhp.
The flappy paddle box is standard on the C.

Its not quite the same box as the 695 as it has a automatic/ manual button whereas the 695 can only be operated in manual mode.

Ah, I thought this had the multiair engine. I've got some catching up to do...

John, any news when the multiair will be available, and if so, whether it will be available in the Abarth 500 c? Hope you're having fun in Italy  :thumb:

At least it does have a manual mode....Is it really any use or better than a traditional method of changing gear? ???

It's a five-speed gearbox, and it's standard on the 500C as John says.

Both the 500C and 695 use the C510 gearbox from the 500, but with the additional MTA 'module'.  The 695 does, however, use different electronics for a faster/better change and, as John points out, a different style of operation.

MultiAir not arriving on any 500 models this year as we understand it.
