Remaps
« on: July 03, 2011, 10:36:44 AM »
Have decided to get a get rid of the TMC and go for a custom map. Has anyone had a remap on on their Evo yet? Also most likely looking at going to AMD in essex, can anyone reccomend any other decend tuners who deal with Abarths?

also if anyone wants a cheap TMC give me a shout ;)

I wouldn't recommend using the box with a highly tuned remap. Its ok with the ss map as its quite a light remap. I don't think the Evo can be programmed via the obd plug so it'll probably mean opening the Ecu and programming it straight to the processor in boot mode which as Kevo says will definitely have warranty implications.

Both Sam and Bill made fairly good reasults on the dyno day Russ, both 170bhp with Bill making 1 or 2bhp more than Sam, bloke at ATSpeed was offering discounted maps on the day with a try before you buy offer, but they we're a little worried as they wasnt sure if the AmD map was locked, if it was they could unluck it but may overwrite it and possible lose it.... Fine if you made more power on their new map, Not so fine if you made less than the AmD map and they lost the map by unlocking it.

At least they where honest, could be worth chattin to them as well. Only real problem your have matey is that you wont be able to get a figure off the dyno no matter where you go so its down to you to gauge if it feels stronger than the TMC.

Did you get all them warning lights go off?
