120nm (Which I'm sure I's right)  is the typical tightening setting for wheels, that most garages do just like tyre pressures 32 psi.  Not right for all cars but seems to be most common so most garages just put that in.

Indeed as Jon said it's all just went on the motor, coming back from the garage I felt the wobble and assumed it might be balancing, wasn't actually sure if they needed balanced when new  :-[ a quick call to the service dept. and it was suggested it may be the balancing and a weight could have come off, seemed reasonable, problem only manifests it self at quite high speed.

The balancing today hasn't seemed to help, it still does feel like balancing though but as mentioned it seems the wobble is stronger underload so reckon the kit has probably highlighted another issue but I may have another attempt at balancing at Bristol Protyre who always do a good job on this sort of stuff.

What else should I be looking for if I get the car up on ramps.
I had exactly the same problem with my Audi this time last year after fitting winter tyres.  It was the whole car alignment (different from the basic alignment they offered in the tyre centre); it cost a fair amount but it solved the problem.

Details at http://www.alignmycar.co.uk/

Hope this helps!

Yup was 32psi all around too which was not right, so upped them to the correct setting, car still feels amazingly compliant with the Konis, they are doing a cracking job, not had a chance to push the car, the roads aren't the right place for it, and I have mostly had unstable loads in the car (the missus :D) so am a little concerned it might not do the job on track as the car is better comfort wise than it was stock on A and B roads  8) despite smaller sidewall and lowering. Certainly has a high WAF and TBH comfort has to come first as my commuter vehicle.

Will get alignment checked as I do the balancing this is typically free.

if that fails I'll book it in to a dealer.

Would appear to be getting somewhere, had balancing and alignment done and this has taken the vibration out of the wheel :) , though I can feel a bit through the car :( which would suggest perhaps rears need done, these were not re-checked as I was told I probably just need the fronts done  ::) It's ever so slight now, will be good to get it sorted so I can enjoy the motor and not worry about what may or may not be broken.

Front and rear toe were well out, for front one side was 0mm the other 2.2mm, they now have equal toe out as front is adjustable but apparently there is no adjustment possible on the rear.

Think the spec on the computer was -0.1 to 1.7mm for each rear wheel for a total toe of 3.4 my rear is 2.5mm & 0.6mm nice and even from the factory then I guess  ::) as its had no knocks from me, one side is looking quite out, is this really something that can't be corrected? I'd of thought the intention would be to have even toe on each side?

Yes they should both be the same, has the back had a knock, hit a pothole or kerb hard?

Not to my knowledge, I'm a handy pot hole dodger after years of running track setup cars on the road, can't recall all 13k though, also I'm not the only one that drives it, wouldn't surprise me if its been like that all along though, the car seems to drive straight despite the numbers and tyre wear has been consistent, nothing untoward.

Course the missus has form for knocking my cars and not telling me  ::)

The toe on the rear passenger side is well out on my car too, its had no knocks and they couldn't see anything obviously wrong when I had the suspension checked over..

The rear arm is pretty solid, it would have had to be some impact to knock it out of alignment!

You can adjust rear toe/camber using shims  :thumb:

You sure?

The motorsport company I took Carmen to managed to modify the front suspension to remove the excessive camber but said there was nothing that could be done about the rear...

Maybe the 500 and GP/EVO can be adjusted differently?

It Can be done on the rear. We had the 500 geometry set up by Rob Boston Motorsport.
He Had special angular shims machined, these are placed behind the rear hub, this in turn gave the correct setttings for the back.
The problem with the 500, AGP and EVO is the rear of the car has a torsion bar set up and doesnt
have independent rear suspension, say like Clio, so there is not alot can be done in terms of adjustment.

Clio and Megane are torsion beam also they don't have independent suspension, just sh*t hot chassis engineers that make them go so well :)

I will try and find someone who is up to the task and get it looked at, car feels fine to be honest but wouldn't mind someone taking a look to see what can be done to curb understeer, though the esseesse kit may have done that as its running fair neg camber which I'm sure it wasn't before, probably just a by product of lowering,  Not really had a chance to put it to the test, been driving the bus with family most of the holiday, need to get it on track.
