2 quicky questions :)
« on: October 11, 2010, 09:54:05 AM »
All my music is on usb,i never stick any cd's in.

my mate last night tried to flick through onto the next track and i noticed it doesnt change if you press the + button on the headunit.

1) Can i only change track then via the steering wheel controls only then?

2) I always leave the usb stick in. When I turn on the car on, sometimes a song from the usb loads up but sometimes a radio station comes on. When the radio comes on i have to take out the usb stick out and put it back in. is there another way that i can make it connect to the usb stick instead of taking it out and putting it back in all the time?

thankkks guys

1) Yes steering wheel only, very annoying when I'm in the passenger seat

2) Try flicking the src (source button) untill it comes back up that sometimes works, if not you need to unplug the usb.

For the second issue all the following work for me:
- Press 'CD' twice (once to go to CD, once more to go to Media Player)
- Press the source button as described above
- Use the steering wheel controls to re-select the music

But then might be a different version of Blue&Me, my car is just over a year old now. And all cars seem to have an issue with the playlist corrupting. On mine this can only be fixed by putting a different USB drive in and then putting the original one back in again, forcing it to rebuild the list.

My Ipod managed to freeze the Blue & Me system so I unplug it every time I leave my car now! (Just in case)
Also the songs always jump for the first 10 seconds & sometimes it switches back to radio of it's own accord, I then have to unplug it and plug it back for it to work again! Such a pain  >:(

I thought changing to a USB would be a solution, but I guess not?!

The menu (on dash) has an option for "autoplay". When activated its supposed to start playing from USB every time you start the car. When deactivated the radio stays on when you start the car unless you select B&M media player with steering wheel src button.

Of course on mine its deactivated but the last week always autoplays the USB stick (even though I have used deactivate in the USB menu, and activated and deactivated it repeatedly).

I just came to the conclusion Microsoft and Marketing were involved and it doesn't actually work properly.
