Blue & Me update not working

Hello,
My Abarth is August 2010 model and i purchased the Blue & Me USB adapter for my ipod. When i plug it into the car nothing happens so I read about the update needed.
I went to the Fiat site and downloaded the version 5.5 update onto my computer and saved onto a USB stick. I then followed the instructions and tried to update the software in the car but it came up with configuration error. I tired a couple of times but this did not work!  :-\
Any ideas or help?

If the error was 10 then it is already installed

oh okay, it did say error 10 it just said configuration error and that was it.

I wonder if it is already installed then why does the Blue&Me adapter not work when i connect my ipod!?

How does your chassis number relate to the one shown in the update stickied thread?
