A little more info. inconjunction with the update 5.4 I believe, that by also using the adapter you can play .aac files.
Basically:

Very rough translation:
What can you do after loading the 5.4 software and having purchased the "adapter mediaplayer blue&meTM for iPod and iPhone":
Play auido tracks in .aac, m4a, m4p and mp4 format.
Play audio tracks purchased on iTunes or protected digitally (DRM).
Play audio tracks from iPod touch or iPhone.
Attention: to listen to your music archived on new iPod or iPhones you can load the updated software 5.4.... and buy the specific addapter mediaplayer.. blah, blah blah.

So, you need the adapter then no need to change tracks to mp3.

Can anyone translate the other part at the bottom of the download page about a patch/fix for Sony Ericsson phones please? Does that need to be installed after the 5.4 update?

Thanks

Useless. OK added the files. Got Navigation back as a menu but it will not pair with Blue and me map.

Will take it to the dealer.

Be careful with this one guys, if it hasn't turned up on the U.K. site for download there may be a very good reason for it.
Its almost the same as modding your car, if its not meant for the U.K. yet (because of bugs or geographical reasons) then its not really your dealers fault if it sends your car into meltdown.

Any idea when they're planning a full UK release?

Apparantly there was a circular sent out last week about an update for the Fiat product (I must have missed it Huh?) and the powers that be are checking whether it also applies to the Abarth product.
I will have a read of the circular when I return to work tommorrow and let you know Thumb Up

I have been told that the version available on the Fiat.it website is in a different configuration to that required for UK Abarths.  I would strongly recommend that people don't attempt to update the Blue&Me software themselves.

All Abarth dealers have now been issued with the required files and procedures and the update doesn't take long.  Book it in, sit back and enjoy a coffee while they handle the update for you.

A silly question but will the car currently being built (or in my case just have been built  Thumb Up) have the new software, or will it need updating as soon as it reaches the dealership?

Very difficult to answer, as I should think that depends on component stock levels more than anything.

Just ask your dealer to make sure it's been updated prior to delivery. Thumb Up

You would need to get it checked by a dealer with the examiner system.

I was told it wasn't available till 2nd Aug by the mechanic at the dealership today. Hoping it will fix my strange software bug.
