Hello everyone

I have a 2008 A500 and have tried everything to get the blue and me POS working with my iphone and USB sticks properly, having done all the updates and even buying the iphone adaptor with no result, I decided to bypass the whole system.
To do this I had two choices, to ripout the OEM headunit and render all the steering wheel buttons useless or find a 'piggyback' system that can retain the blue and me while actually be able to play music properly.
I ended up with a parrot MKi9200, been using it for 6 months with no major problem, installing the unit is easy enough and can be done at home, does not need any diagnostic software or factory computer to connect and basically works along sode with the OEM stereo, not effecting it at all. It is also a bluetooth handsfree system and hence can replace all but the radio unction fo the blue and me. but the steering controls will not work for volume or change tracks or the mobile phone, but instead you get a nice dash mounted control which works just as well.
If you are fed up with the blue and e systems on earlier cars, this should be a viable solution! you also get a nice LCD screen to show tracks! unit cost me around 200pounds and i ahd it installed for another 50, so only detriment is the price!
