Media Player Display
« on: April 20, 2011, 07:41:50 PM »
Hi All

Plugged me MP3 player into the USB tonight and the Display does not show the the Track Title. It just shows MEDIA PLAYER and the counter does not move either. The Tracks play fine - but there is no display other than Media Player and a counter set as 00:00. I have switched the stereo on and off and still nothing. Radio Stations displayed OK.

Has anyone had this problem and if so how do u get round it.  It has been displaying the tracks fine before tonight and have checked the settings and it is set as Title in the menu.

Can anyone help

Thanks Remy  ???

As with all B&M issues.

First thing to do is reset it, it's a Microsoft system so needs a reboot now and then.

Disconnect your battery for 5-10 mins, try again.

You will need to setup time/date etc again when you do this.

Hi All

Phoned Bauer Millett the other day re the Display problem and said about disconnecting the Battery.

They said that that will NOT give a full re boot and actually will probably cause more problems than it is worth. They advised that they reboot the system using their apparatus and normally takes 15 mins.

As the MP3 still plays and is only a disply problem, am going to wait till it is in on 6/5/2011 for the Drivers Door handle light to be sorted and get it done then

Cheers Remy :thumb:

The track title sometimes stops appearing on my dash display... The quick way to make it come back is to press the [FM] button to switch to the radio and then the [CD] button to go back to the Media Player (just make sure you don't have a CD in ;)) and voila!  The track title comes back on mine  :thumb:
