Phonebook - Some contact names not displaying
« on: November 04, 2010, 07:50:10 PM »
When receiving a call sometimes the contact name comes up and on other contacts, just their number. It's a little confusing because I take a lot of work calls, well all my work calls, on my mobile and sometimes I can't see who is calling or how I should answer the phone (or in fact whether I should answer the phone....)

Any ideas for a fix? Has anyone else had this? Should I delete the phone book and resend it?

Yes, sounds like the number that's calling isn't in the car's phone book, just the phone's.

I thought that too however I received a call yesterday and just the number came up on the dash, I then called that number back today by voice dialling the contact and the name came up.... It's all a little odd as I have a blackberry and that seems to update with new contacts each time I get in the car as well which i didn't think was supposed to happen!

The blootooth crapped out completely today. Dropped in on Thames and Ajay disconnected the battery and all was well again. I think all the contacts are inthere agin now too so problem fixed. Important safety tip..... Apparently the blootooth went mental because I unplugged the iPod lead whilst the engine was running.
