Hi

Does anyone else have terrible reception on their FM radio? Even in central London, X-FM and Capital are fuzzy most of the time.

More annoyingly, the radio seems to cut out intermitently for quarter of a second every couple of minutes.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Radio reception quality in London is OK but not brilliant.

I also used to get an occassional, mini (as described) cut out but this hasn't happened for a while.

Seems you and I are sharing all the same problems with audio/b&m. Or perhaps we are the only ones vocalising them.

It's driving me nuts. I keep listening to the same Darkness CD, as the mp3 doesn't work and the radio cuts out.

Sounds (aha) a pain, I don't listem to the radio much but haven't particualy noticed any issues with it when I have. The Ginger one in the afternoon comes through clearly and sadly with little interuption  Grin

What has your dealer said about it?

(Oh and if this wanders to far off from the radio I'll relocate it to the B&M section)

My MP3's are OK and the radio not too bad but voice recognition and phone - that's another story.

By the way, despite being restarted and re-paired by the guys at Thames, the B&M connection only lasted a day. Cry

I don't get it - after having to repair (delete user etc), the connection about 20 times last week, now it has worked error-free for the week so far.

Inconsistent. I am calling the dealer today.

I think radio reception on the whole is fairly poor, but I don't listen to it enough for it to be an issue. Coming back from Stanford though, my USB went t*ts up, and would only play one track. It simply couldn't find anymore. After repeating the same track about 8 times I had to resort to Radio1 and the interference and poor sound quality got right up my nose. I eventually turned everything off, opened the sunroof and dropped a gear. Nice.

Blue & Me was a cute idea, but it needs more time and more money and better compatibilty to make it worthwhile. This is coming from someone who doesn't use a Mac or Ipod either. Windows all the way with me, so god help the Apple people...

Note: if people are having problems with their USB, I find taking it out and sticking in a PC then deleting or adding a track and popping it back in t'abarth will sort things out. Shouldn't have to fanny around like this though  Roll Eyes

thats exactly how i sort mine out, i reckon it gets worse everytime you skip a track, leave it alone and it lasts for ages.. so don,t put anything skippable on it

I skip tracks all the time, and usually several at a time, and I don't get problems with the USB. Perhaps I'm just lucky.

Mine is mostly fine but once in a while it loses the plot, second stick with 3 songs on it and just quickly swap them over, let them rebuild the list, swap back and Robert is you father's brother as they say another couple of weeks of hassle free sound. Think its done it 3 times now.

Must get a new phone so which has a hope of connecting so I can share in the joy of that bit of the system  Grin

Have to agree with the FM problems on these cars.
Live in central Southampton and I do a few miles and all I
Can say is, it don’t matter where you are the reception is crap.
Slight fuzz all the time and it fades in and out like a kid playing
with a dimmer switch.   Thumb Down

Might try and see if I can get a better arial.

I turned off the AF yesterday on the drive to Sussex and the radio stopped cutting out. A friend suggested that this used to cause problems in London. Fingers crossed it has done the trick.
