everything been working well with new update and iphone 4
last night had an issue with the bluetooth with no connection, simple user delete and re paired. fine
then went to make a call a bit later, little dialing tone, the call answered but all I heard was

VERY LOUD STATIC LIKE THE SPEAKERS WERE TOO HIGH BUT WEREN'T

any ideas? I am hoping to start the car this morning and it was just Rory feeling a little hot with the balmy weather  Roll Eyes

no no, tried it in several locations, where signal was different and still getting static as the phone rings, its like someone has poured water into the speakers and as it rings its all distorted and dalek like sound.

done a soft reset on phone...

could it be a bluetooth connection signal problem, maybe a loose wire on the bluetooth device in the car?

plus have used the phone in the car without b&m and there isn't a problem.

Don't know then.  These issues could just be the price you pay for using an officially unsupported phone/OS.

mmmm not sure Alex, everything has worked well until last night, and all the other functions work with B&M, i.e music plays no problem, so its either the iphone's bluetooth or the car's? will try the dealer and see what they can find, just now got to get down to slough Thumb Down

Try another phone.  That'll rule out an issue with the car (other than an iPhone 4 compatibility issue).

ok just paired up another iphone, same sound, so I take it then it must be the car and not the phone, will phone the dealer

ok update : Rory is going back to the mothership tomorrow morning, let hope its a simple wire loose connection quick plug that back in son before the captain notices job  Roll Eyes

so visited thames this morning, Ajay was superb and got it booked in there an then, watered me with loads of coffee while I waited.

Upshot is they reset the blue&me unit and now it works, nobody had ever heard of my problem before, they aren't happy with it and have ordered me a new unit, also while i was there they also ordered a new fan heating control unit to stop the squeak.

test drove the new 500c, but will go to the other thread for more detail  Thumb Up

I've had that acouple of times. It sounds like I'm trying to drown my phone.

Thankfully mine it's sorted it's self out after not using my phone in the car for the rest of that day. Glad you've got it fix so quickly.

I went down to see Ajay on Monday to get a fault with Little Tic sorted. Visit to Ajay usually = coffee, coke and bourbons  Grin

yup thats true m8 as discussed last night, Thames did fix it couple of weeks ago with a reset, but brilliant as they are and under warranty said they weren't happy with the current blue&me box and ordered a new one which got fitted on wednesday  Thumb Up
