I hope giving it a bash solves it, I had something similar in my Spider, required a whole new B+M unit  |

You could try a system restart, disconnecting the one battery terminal (its on a quick release) has often sorted out my B+M probs

I'd 'bash' the side of the steering wheel near the spoke, but the battery disconnect sounds like a far more sensible idea. I quite often find giving things a quick clout gets them working again... previous cars, computers, phones, the misses  I do not condone domestic violence in any way.... unless she started it  |

Apparently it may need a software up date,someone else has taken there a500 in for same problem!

Voice recognition button no longer bleeps at you,the main button does nothing at all no menus come up etc and if you have ipod connected you cant scroll through songs.
Just teething problems,lol i gotta laugh. I been told fiat means fix it all the time ;-)

Now you have given a little more info this sounds exactly the same problem that i had so might have to be a new unit ...... i hope it is just an update it needs. I had to wait for the garage to get permission from Alfa UK before they could replace the B+M unit as its quite expensive  took 2 weeks |
