Stereo / Wheel controls not functioning
« on: September 08, 2010, 07:59:52 PM »
I've had this a couple of times where I'm sitting in the car eating my lunch, engine off and switch on the stereo. A couple of times I've went to change the volume but the buttons didn't respond. Even when trying to select the CD player there was no response. Happened again today, but actually after I had started the car and was driving. When I left work later that day it was back to normal. Any clues?

Steering wheel controls dont work with ignition off, dont know why but they dont  :thumbd: as for not working while ignition on no idea  ???
They laugh at us because we are different, We pity them because they are all the same.

Blue and me controller might just need a 'reboot'. It is a microshite system after all.

Either unplug the fuse for b&m or disconnect battery for 10 mins... Should fix it, you will have to reset tine etc tho after....

A few months ago I noticed, while using my Ipod, that the steering wheel buttons would not skip the tracks. This had never been an issue before.
I thought the steering wheel must be faulty but I then noticed that they would change the radio station and skip CD tracks!
I called Glyn Hopkin and they asked me to come in so they could take a look. All they need to do was a reboot of the system and all fixed, took 20mins and no trouble since.  :thumb:
Only issue is I have an hours + drive to get there!  :thumbd:

The buttons in the actual stereo have never controlled the Ipod, has anyone else noticed this?

Seemed to stop doing it before it went for it's service. Forgot to mention it at the service but they said the car was due a software update and since I've had it back I haven't had the problem

Unplug the battery for a few mins then plug back on the lead.
