Hey guys, as the title says, I have updated the Blue and me software to version 5.5 however, I am still unable to play music from my iPhone - am i right in thinking that this is possible with the new update and without the £60 usb stick that Fiat sell?

Anyway i'm either doing something stupid, or i'm being stupid

If anyone could clear this up that would be great. Thanks a lot.

EDIT: Forgot to mention its the 3GS 32GB and when I go through "Source" options, the media player bit doesnt show, Radio and CD do fine. The phone makes the apple noise to say its connected too.

Is this hardware in the head unit? As mine is a bit dodgey and playing up at the moment. Maybe if i'm lucky i can get a warrenty job 

I could be wrong, but I thought this was down to the iPhone not having a disk mode like an iPod?  My iPod will play via the adapter, but iPhone never has.

Another consideration is that even with the adapter my iPod will only play .mp3, .wma etc files as B&M still can't process .m4a or other AAC based encodings.

Feel free to call my bluff on this, but that's why I gave up with the whole thing and now just have a Cruzer USB disk with tunes on specifically for the car.  No adapter required.

Bugger.  In that case mine works as equally poorly as Dusty viper's... dumb luck

Lol I feel your pain! Oh well its just as easy to get a USB stick - I can't remember the largest size it will recognize though, I think it was 8GB?

sadly, I recall that it's only 4GB
