using an iphone 4 on a 10 plate a500 with blue&me
« on: October 26, 2010, 12:26:32 PM »
Hi All

 :wave:

I'm new to the forum, pick up my car tonight (10 plate a500 in white with 17" wheels, oh and I'm 80% sure I will lash out on the SS kit).   :whistle: waiting for the responses  :)

I have an iphone 4 and noticed the Blue&Me Adaptor for iPod/iPhone. Anyone have any experiance with an iphone 4 in the usb port, does it work with the radio or do I need the adaptor?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome.

If your chassis number is 504557 or above and Blue&Me has the latest software, you won't need an adaptor.  More details here: Blue&Me software updated to 5.5 and info regarding hardware changes.

There's a big iOS4 discussion here that might have some relevant info regarding compatibility.

Well just picked it up and drove home.  Played with the buttons and nothing, so time to read the books  :o

My chassis number is 474457 so I guess I need an adaptor?

Thoughts?

Adaptor would indeed be in order, you can order one from our very own shop  ;)

As Alex says a few posts above it appears that you do need the adaptor.
Why is your car so old if you are only picking it up now?

Its 6 months old, private sale, the person was getting a new car with work.  So a little bargain for me!  ;D

Ordered the plug from the shop today (oh and a little a500 for my 2yr old lad)

Cheers
