No such thing as a 128 Abarth but god I want it.
Looks like it needs quite a lot of work to finish though.
It's also neither a coupe or 1400!

There was a FIAT 128 Abarth marketed in Germany in the 1970s. I have a sales brochure for it. I think it was actually a standard 128 but " Abarthised" with all the aftermarket goodies that FIAT were selling at the time - Abarth leather steering wheel, Abarth twin pipe exhaust, Abarth alloy wheels, Abarth gear stick knob ! etc. They did the same with the Mk2 Punto about 10 years ago, didn't they ?

Didn't sell, been re-listed.
I nearly went over to look but it looks like a classic American BS paint job on a not so special car.
It's not even a rally, has no roll cage and no history.
I'd take a punt at a grand just to repaint and convert into a Filipinetti replica.

Indeed the 128 Abarth in Germany was the only official release with a scorpion attached - no more than a badged up 128 4 door saloon sold alongside the 3P Berlinetta Special.
The closest we got to a full Abarth is shown in the factory archives released by Sergio Limone recently in book form i.e. a '75 128 3p with some interesting engine and aero mods.
On the plus side, this yellow car could be pretty awesome with a few tweeks  :thumb:

And what about the red car, being pretty awesome without tweaks?  I was my first ever new car.  It had servo brakes.  It sounded rough, due to the Abarth exhaust, the horn scared the living daylights out of other road users.  Overtaking was fast and furious.  If I could have that car back right now. and I mean THAT car, I would buy it.  It was georgeous, forgiving, scary and pig headed.  And it was my car.   We were a team, just like Scorpi and I are right now. And drive that car on 20 cm of snow and ice, it was a winner.  So long doubters, I would take MY 128 Abarth back anytime as long as it could share the driveway with Scorpi.
