Have you tried Middle Barton Garage in Oxon?  They specialise in classic Abarths and may be able to help.

I've certainly seen an Abarth example of this lovely car down at Goodwood a couple of times, but I don't recall ever managing to speak to its owner.

Yes I'm going to have a go on that one later, seems a gen car, but not had chance to see it, so always a risk buying blind.....did it some years ago, with a Panda Sisley.....looked great in the add, so bought it, got the train, saw the car, said, your joking ?, got the next train, and went home with my money.....

keep you posted if I buy it or not.......

There was a retired farmer who lived 1/2mile from my folks place, who used to let us store several of our older vehicles in his redundant barns.

He had a load of stuff of his own in the largest shed, which included a pair of these 850 Sports in that exact colour which had been stored for some 20-odd years.  One of them was particularly cool as it even had little front wing mounted flags on poles where it had functioned as the diplomatic car for the Ambassador of Congo  :o

Fred eventually tried to sell them at Beaulieu autojumble one year and had someone coming to view them.  At 86 he went out and pushed them both to one end of the barn to make it easier the next day and that night he had a heart attack and died.  Worst thing was the prospective buyer never turned up or contacted the family again.

When he died I tried to get hold of one of them, but the family wouldn't let anyone near them after the event and I've no idea what became of them  :'(

Anyway, side-story aside - what a nice way to start the weekend!  I hope it's as much fun as it looks Mesrine  :thumb:

Very nice indeed, my dad had one (red) in amongst a bunch of other Abarths and Fiats, so it's nice to see one around :thumb:

Congrats on a lovely car :thumb:
