For us novices, what's the history behind these being Abarths?
Red A500 SS, Monza exhaust, black leather, white mirrors, Koni FSDs. Not sure what happens under the bonnet but the car still keeps me smiling......must avoid the technical engine-type posts...

Your right that's what they have been doing for years. Now it's back properly in these new abarths tuned engines etc.

It was sold as the top end sports Stilo as Fiat Stilo Abarth (not sure if it had any further add ons to the title) in the same way the Golf MKs 1,2,3  GTIs were (forget the oddity that happended with the MK4 and the fact there are now range toppers over the MK 5 & 6's).

As far as I remember it was the only Stilo with that engine so isn't just a body kit on a standard car job.

I think it was also sold with a take on the selespeed system.

Looks nice, obviously quite an old design now, but still looks good!

Shame Fiat never did a bit more with it compared to its rivals at the time, RS Megane etc, but they got their act together in the end!

Bit like the A500C, it had the Selespeed at launch and the manual came later!

I also wish it was a little less Fiat and a little more Abarth but... She was a good'n, and that five pot motor was lurvley, and yes it was let down a little by the selespeed gearbox.

Yes but the ordering has not yet opened on the yellows. They should start accepting orders on the blues in the next week or so.
