Guidelines for members: Comments should be self-contained feedback on your overall experience following the purchase of a car or completion of service/warranty work. Leaving feedback purely on the basis of a test drive or phone call is of no use to anyone. Please do not comment on other people's feedback - instead, take all conversations into PMs. All feedback must be constructive and factual. Emotional ranting, retaliatory or libellous comments will be removed. In all cases of dispute, your dealer must be given the opportunity to resolve the situation first.
Guidelines for dealers: Dealer staff may not post in their own threads except to exercise their right-to-reply on specific points of criticism. Clarification, where required, should be sought privately. Attempts to bump a thread will be dealt with harshly.

Can we do this in Members motors? Asking about the car isn't dealer feedback guys.
But saying that MarkS2s please can you give a nice long winded account of the whole buying and pick up experience? Always handy for new people.
Yep here goes: We went into BM's after driving past one day on the way to work and noticing that they had a sparkling Launch edition parked outside, i then immediately sent them an email when i got to work enquiring on the pricing etc, then a couple of days later on the 14th Feb went in and had a test drive with Ian early one saturday morning. After a couple of miles I knew I wanted to buy one. Then got back Ian kindly made us a brew while we used the touch screen LCD ordering system to spec up our car! then paid a £500 deposit, and away we went for the long wait, of which was predicted of mid may. We then recieved many updates from Ian informing us of the status of the car once the factory processed the order, and it arrived bang on the predicted time as we picked it up last saturday 16th, I had already reccomended BM's to several people and am very pleased that they now also deal in Abarths. Keep up the good work.

I wanted to order an A500, but BM said they wouldn't give me a trade-in price for my 2 yr old Grande Punto Sporting 1.9... Well, they would, but I'd have to place an order, wait til just before delivery (10 weeks!) and then they could give me a price on my trade-in. When I said I couldn't take that kind of "leap of faith" without knowing the figures beforehand, things went downhill. I took my order to Vospers (who were happy to give me a trade-in figure up front) and BM seemed to take it personally...
Ho hum...

Okay. I collected my car yesterday, and I can only repeat what's already been said tbh.
I remain very impressed with the level of customer service at Bauer Millett, and all the staff there who I've dealt with have been really helpful and ultimately made buying a car from them a pleasure.
Throughout the waiting period (and it was a long one) I was in ongoing contact with either David or Luke and any questions I had were dealt with speed, clarity and honesty. You get tired of salespeople bullshitting you these days, but I had none of that from the lads in Manchester. They offered me a great trade in price on my Fiat 500, which was pretty much the same as David predicted back in Feb when I placed my order, even though my mileage had increased a fair bit since then.
I was unable to collect the car when it arrived at the dealership 3 weeks ago due to the insurance ballache I had. Bauer Millett were understanding in this issue and sat my Abarth in the showroom next to a Corvette until I was ready to collect yesterday!
Collecting my Abarth was easier than I expected. Ian dealt with the handover mainly, and the painful part (paying) and David then suggested taking a few shots of my new Abarth next to my old Fiat, which was a really nice idea. They then treated me to a bottle of Prosecco, shook my hand and off I went to negociate the early morning Manc traffic.
I think the main point here is that if I have any issues with my car, or any questions at all, I know I can call/email BM and get a resolution, without the dread of being put on hold, not called back, or generally buggered about. They've obviously put a lot of time and effort into setting up their Abarth and Alfa franchise and it shows through in the stunning showroom, and fantastic customer service.
Well done Bauer Millett, from a very happy customer.

I got my black 500 from here and have to say they were great. Advice a plenty and they have phoned me to ask how the car is as well. If I do get another, this is where I will be getting it from. They may not have finished with me yet though, the esseesse kit won't let me forget it.

I called at Bauer Millett last weekend to arrange a test drive in the EsseEsse & to book my car in for an early oil & filter change in prep for the trackday at Silverstone. I'll be hopefully taking an extended testdrive on some twisties in the next couple of weeks - I was really impressed with the suspension set up over the standard car despite reading criticisms regarding it's harshness; although there wasn't the opportunity to test the brakes nor power in the Manchester traffic. I've just picked up my Abarth this evening after the oil & filter change and was really happy with the price and the service. They obviously gave the car the once over as they noticed that the offside full beam bulb had blown, and replaced both full beams (with superbright bulbs as I had already changed them to) without charging for the work. I wasn't able to get to the garage during working hours, so they hung around for me to drop my car off and collect it, and lent me a MiTo while the work was being done. Overall, really easy to sort out a service, and really happy with the work done. I feel confident that Bauer Millett do a proper job.

I got my car from Bauer Milletts and it's been back once for a simple mic change, and I've had flawless service from them.
If you're going to get your car serviced there make sure you get the right location though. Their service and parts department is at a different site to the showroom!

I rang them over a week ago to book my car in for some warranty work. The lady I spoke to said she would ring me back. Heard nothing. Rang back on Tuesday this week. Spoke to the same woman. "We're in the process of changing the courtesy cars over, we'll be in touch within a couple of days". Still not heard anything. Becoming very impatient. I can't see out of my windscreen. (Need new washer jets & blue and me mic).

Apologies Joe, our Aftersales Director has been away for a couple of weeks and the workshops have been manically busy the whole time. I believe you've had your call back this morning. Hope all is sorted.

I gave Chris a call this morning. Parts are in, so hopefully it will get sorted this week. Cheers Mitch.

After calling the service department on Tuesday and being told I'd get a call back the same afternoon, I'm yet to hear anything. It's two weeks tomorrow since I made my initial call. I have two warranty issues (blue&me mic and windscreen washers) that need sorting, and also some slight damage to the tailgate that I would like a quote for. I have phoned 3 times, and on all occasions been promised a call back. Heard nothing.
Mitch, if you read this, it may be worth heading down to the service department and cracking the whip. I appreciate the service dept. may be busy but to take two weeks to simply book a car in for some routine warranty work isn't great. It only takes a couple of mins to give me a call to let me know what's going on. Not bothered if it doesn't get fixed immediately, but it would be nice to know I haven't been forgotten about.
