Car's booked in. All sorted. Said they'll carry out the work while I wait, so that's good.

I collected the car yesterday afternoon, and what a transformation! The way the car feels (and looks) now compared to how it went in is incredible. They had the car just over 2 weeks, i expected it to be longer as is usually the case with Abarth what with parts etc, but i don't mind, the Alfa Mito was a nice car to be given too, not your average low spec courtesy car.

They've done everything i wanted them too, all the major issues have been sorted. Chris McDonald is very thorough, he sat down for 10 minutes, went through every fault i listed and explained how and why that fault was there and how they fixed it. Turns out the gearbox was slightly misaligned causing some bad feedback, now it's been straightened out (so to speak) it genuinely feels much smoother. The steering no longer pulls or darts around like it used to, helped a lot i know by the 4 new tyres, but mainly due to the tracking that's been done. They even painted the whole bonnet and replaced my Scorpion decal! It's a perfect match and is much better than the patchy job attempted by the other garage. They even arranged a taxi to pick me and my friend up from the garage and also wrapped my old wheels in bubble wrap and helped me load them into the car.

An absolute professional service from the day she was dropped off to the day i picked her up. Can't thank you guys enough!  :thumb:
I would recommend them to anyone, and to echo others views too, the showroom is a masterpiece on it's own, well worth a day out just to go there!

So thanks again Bauer Millett, in particular Mitch and Chris McDonald, not to mention all the other technicians that worked on my car! Now anybody fancy a spin?  ;D

My wife has been after a 500 for a little while and as the first MOT was due on her Type S Civic we decided to have a look around.
We initially looked at a 'byDiesel' Fiat 500 as we wanted to down size due to the very low milage she covers etc and after being a bit disappointed with trying to get a good deal at several dealers/internet brokers etc we decided to pop down to Bauer Millett to look at the Abarth (the one she really wanted all along but was trying to be sensible) - So glad we did as a deal was struck in a couple of hours or so with Ian who was extremely knowledgeable about the cars and had some new arrivals in stock so we could see all the colour/trim options in one hit.
He got us a great price for our Honda and did his best to give us a good deal all round and was an absolute pleasure to deal with, easily the best car buying experience I've had!
A big thumbs up to Bauer Millett, I will certain recommend anyone to use them!  :thumb:

Sorry forgot to mention, picked up the car last Friday where the handover was also first class! Little gestures like a bottle of wine go a long way!
Also have to say how pleased we are with the A500....even though it is the wife's car she now has to fight me to get the keys off me!! ;D

Returned home last night form my recent trip back to Bauer Millets for my 1st service. Got up at 6am, left at 7 and was there by 9. There were a few faults with the car which needed looking at too so i got a taxi to the trafford centre, although they did offer to give me a lift to the town centre for free.

The car did take a while to get to bottom of one of the faults (knocking noise) and there was a slight miscommunication in the body shop resulting in me having to return 5 minutes later after i collected the car because the knocking noise was still there! Luckily, they realised what had happened and it was sorted in 15 minutes. The steering wheel is bang in the middle now too, the "knocking noise" also resulted in the wheel being about 10% to the left in a straight line, so i'm relived she doesn't pull anymore and the wheel is central.

Trim under the windscreen was replaced under warranty too, and the car was cleaned outside as well. Chris McDonald was as always, very helpful and despite being rushed off his feet, took his time in explaining thoroughly what was wrong and why and how they fixed it. They even stripped parts from a brand new car as they knew i had come a long way and couldn't really afford to do another trip back! So yet again, another professional job from a top firm!

Abi is running great now, she feels much better after the service, smoother and quicker, quieter too. Economy has improved from 29 MPG on the way there, to 39 MPG on the way back! Pretty good for motorway speeds! :thumb: I did pay top whack fro the service, but the car was there 8 to 9 hours and they sorted all the faults out so i couldn't ask for a better job really.

Big thanks to Chris, Mitch and all the mechanics/technicians working on the Bauer Millet team!  :thumb:

Being a well brought up girl, I thought I'd do as my mum always told me and write my thank you letter promptly and this is a real thank you.

The most eagerly awaited day of 2010 happened yesterday - bigger than any Gerenal Election or Football World Cup (well, at least in this house). If I'd had to wait any longer, I would undoubtedly have been in need of psychiatric help but that is nothing compared to what Luke would have required! I don't think I've been a difficult customer, but I think "high maintenance" is probably applicable.

In some ways, it can't be hard to have a customer who is behaving like a child in a sweet shop. After all, in such circumstances, it is probably not the most difficult sale one will ever make. I was in love with the car within minutes of driving it and convinced I wanted one shortly thereafter (unlike all the other cars I'd test driven and ruled out in similarly short order). I can do excited (and did!), but what I really appreciated was the degree of enthusiam in return which was, actually, worthy of Tigger.

So, having ordered him, what happened? Well, this is the high maintenance bit. I'm not best patient and 74 days is a long time for me to contain what have been unreal levels of excitement. In itself, that lead to me weakening twice over the Sabelt seats and, at the last minute (and after an unprecedented wrestle with the conscience over the money) the Monza exhaust. Luke deserves a medal for his degree of patience over the latter and I suspect the workshop weren't best pleased at having to fit the thing at short notice either but the result is that I now have the car I really wanted which looks fantastic.

So, the big day - what can I say but another big thank you for putting him in what has to be one of the best looking showrooms in the world. He was in handsome company with the Alfas next to him. He'd been polished to within an inch of his life and looked better than either I could have imagined or he is likely to look again.

Mitch, I haven't mentioned you in this yet, but many many thanks for the test drive  ;); your help; and for the influence you plainly have on the level of service BM provide.

I'm certainly grinning from ear to ear and I swear that the car is too.  ;D

p.s. A couple of weeks on - the car's great and I'm still grinning from ear to ear. One of the wheels turned out to be flawed on closer inspection. Many thanks for sorting it out (twice - as the second one was flawed too) without any fuss at all. Much appreciated.

Being a local lad; I breezed into the Bauer Millett showroom looking at the awesome car displays! The salesman asked if I would like any help & offered me a coffee, (I like this place already I thought!) I'd been to other showrooms & none where quite this friendly! Mind made up! It was to be an Abarth for my next new car! I'd been a fan from back in the eighties!

I returned a few days later & was greeted by Mitch, who promptly took me out for a blast in the AGP SS, and what a sting it was!!! My son & I got out of the car with grins from ear to ear. Having had a good chat, it transpired the car we had just scared ourselves in was up for sale! I'M HAVING IT! Two weeks later & a first class service from Luke; I'm know the proud owner of that motor! The kids call it the beast!

The over all set up at Bauer Millett is top draw, I even received a bottle of bubbly on pick up! A sincere thank you gents, you've made buying a car a pleasure.  :thumb:  See u guys soon -  8)

This one I think, is worthy of an update. Milo is still great but the display for the Blue&Me had developed an annoying little habbit of not working (sometimes - usually when I was lost....). Anyhow, it has taken a bit of effort to try to resolve this. You don't need the boring details. What you do need to know is that what seems like virtually every member of staff has been involved to some extent; they have all been honest, friendly and unbelievably helpful. The attitude is, in my view, a very refreshing change from the almost daily poor customer service one experiences generally. Having sat in the workshop for a while, it's clear how busy they are and yet things just get done with no fuss.

Lest there is anyone reading this who just things I'm easily pleased, let me tell you that I used to drive my old car 35 miles (rather than 2) to get her serviced due to the total arrogance of my then nearest dealer and I will undoubtedly complain when I need to.

Milo makes me smile every day. It is a genuine pleasure to deal with people who give me no reason to do otherwise. Thank you.

I picked up my Black AGP from Bauer Millett on Wednesday and Steve dealt with the purchase for me.

Although Bauer Millett have been very busy, I have to say that buying a car from them was an absolute pleasure from start to finish.  The showroom can only be described as absolute class.  An exceptional buying experience and I will definitely buy my next car from them.

Steve is an absolute star and you really feel like they appreciate your business.  I received a bottle of Prosseco upon collection of the car (which was a nice touch) and even had a call from Steve two days after receipt of the car to make sure everything was okay.

Thanks to Steve and Bauer Millett for selling me the best car I have ever had.

Ian.

I picked up our new A500 from Bauer Millett on Thursday and i can say it was the best buying experience i ever had.
The salesperson I dealt with was Steve, he made us feel right at home as soon a we walked in to the showroom. We knew right away we wanted one. So we sat down with steve and got the ball rolling, we picked one on the showroom floor so we wouldn't have to wait.

The whole time we were sorting out the paperwork our little one year old was kicking off and needing some attention, so steve sorted it all out in record time.

The car was ready to pick up in a couple of days and on handover Steve took me thought all points of the car even though i'd worn out all things Abarth on the web. To top it all off a nice bottle of Prosseco to sweeten the deal.
Thanks to Steve and the team for making our buying experience easier than going to to tesco :thumb: :thumb:

A bit of a mixed bag review from me.

I only visited the dealer once, took and test drive and placed an order.  There clearly wasn't going to be much discount to be had, so after agreeing that they would pay for my numberplate transfer I placed an order for a new car they already had in stock, which I picked up about a week later.

After having completed all the paperwork, the salesman realised he'd missed my numberplate transfer out, and rather than having to re-do all the paperwork, would I accept a tank of fuel and some mats instead - which was fine.

Fast-forward to some 3 months later.....  I still have not had my mats, I've had at least 10 unreturned calls, when trying to speak to someone (not the salesman) about a problem with the car on delivery they were dismissive and uninterested, and when I phoned to try and get the car booked in for the blue&me not working was told they would need it for a full day to diagnose the problem and then another full day if it needed any parts.  There were no courtesy cars available and they don't do collections.

None of the problems have been resolved, I've just learned to accept that several features of the car don't work - I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that no faults preventing the car from driving develop, as the next nearest dealer to me is a 2 hour drive, each way.

So - sales was good, after-sales - definitely not.

Just wanted to comment on the fantastic service I have just had from Bauer Millett. I rang this morning regarding the static noise I was getting from the subwoofer when I started my car.
They asked me to bring it in at lunch time. As soon as I arrived the car was taken into the workshop and a faulty subwoofer was diagnosed, my heart sank a little as I thought they would have to order a part and I would need to go back,  but no they had a new speaker in stock which was fitted within 15 mins and the problem is solved.

Fantastic guys. This along with the excellent sales process from Steve make me want to recommend Bauer Millett as a great dealer to use. :D :D

Picked up my Record Grey A500C yesterday from Bauer Millett.  First car I have ever bought brand new - I actually bought a £2k Renault Clio from them years back when I wrote off my Fiat Punto - got me out of a fix and I have been indebted to them ever since - though this, nor the fact that they're the only Abarth dealer in the North West, had anything to do with my reasons for buying from them - simply one of the best car dealerships out there by far - absolutely superb service!

Im not usually one for leaving comments on things i buy, but buying a car from Bauer Millett was such an experience. My girlfriend was looking for a new car and we had seen a 500A so we looked up the nearest dealership.
From the moment i first rang to see what 500 Abarths they had in to the day we picked the car up was such a pleasure.
Steve looked after us through out the experience and it definately isnt any normal car dealership, its alot more of a relaxed atmosphere than your usual dealership.

My girlfriend is really happy with her new car(Roary) even though ive driven it more than her  ;)

Thanks Bauer Millett and a special thanks to Steve, i would highly recommend them
